10 Fantastic Cornstarch Tricks That You Did Not Know

1. Remove grease stains

  • 4 tablespoons of cornstarch (32 g).
  • ¼ cup of milk (62 ml).

Preparation

  • Make a paste with the cornstarch and milk.
  •  Put it on the stain and let it work overnight.
  • The next day you will notice that this paste has solidified. Remove it and vacuum normally.
  • Do the same in case you have ink stains and they will disappear.

2. Eliminate shoe odor

If your footwear gives off a bad smell, cornstarch may be the perfect solution. This will act like the classic homemade talcum powder, and will help you to kill the fungus and bacteria that cause bad odor.

  • Just put a little cornstarch on your shoes and leave it on overnight.
  • The next day, remove it (you can help yourself with a vacuum cleaner).

  • 1 cup of vinegar (250 ml).
  • 1 cup of water (250 ml).
  • The juice of ½ lemon.

    • Wait a few minutes and then wipe with a dry cloth with wrapping movements to polish.

    7. Goodbye to book mold

    • 2 cups of cornstarch (240 g).
    • 1 plastic bag.

    What should you do?

    • Place the garment inside the plastic bag (better if it has a closure) and add the two cups of cornstarch.
    • Close the bag tightly and stir well to make sure the garment is fully covered.
    • Let it rest overnight and the next day remove the remains with a vacuum cleaner at the minimum power.
    • You will see how all the dirt comes off.
